Dr. Jane Gehr is the owner and Practice Manager of Arcade Animal Hospital. She has been with the practice since 2006, first as a veterinary technician while in veterinary school, then as a relief veterinarian until buying the practice in July 2015.
Dr. Jane received two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Wisconsin and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special veterinary interests are behavior, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Jane is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, and is working towards Certification as a Fear Free Veterinary Professional.
In her free time, Dr. Jane enjoys reading, painting, spending time with her English mastiff, Dakota, and her cats, Nemo, Puddy, Bats, and Cassie, and, much to the consternation of her fiancé, rooting for the Green Bay Packers. Every day, she’s grateful she has the best job in the world.
I'm Michelle and this is Gangus (dog) and Fredrick (cat). I have been with Arcade since 2002 as the lead CVT and Office Manager. Working for Arcade Animal Hospital has been amazing, maybe that is why I have been here for so long! My passion for animals is something you cannot put into words. I take great pride in being a CVT and couldn't imagine doing anything else. After many attempts to take a great photo for my bio this is the best my boys could do. A little drool on my knee, a few scratches later and here you have it! Despite our best efforts my boys would rather be playing in the yard than taking photos with mom, but as long as they are happy then so am I. When I'm not at work or at home hanging out with my boyfriend, Gangy, and Fred, I'm usually at the gym, spending time with family and friends or watching movies. It's a simple life with great rewards.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Animal Science. Not having any animals of my own, working at Arcade Animal Hospital is my first hands on experience with companion animals outside of my studies. Living on the east side of St. Paul my whole life, it feels great to being working with a community that feels like family. Outside of the Arcade Animal Hospital I'm usually biking around the metro area, or enjoying a comic at home. Working at the Arcade Animal Hospital has taught me so much, and I enjoy working and learning something new everyday!
